KDP and DKDP are important nonlinear optical crystals widely used in frequency doubling and optical modulation applications in lasers.
KDP is known for its high nonlinear coefficients, wide transparency range and excellent optical quality, making them highly suitable for frequency conversion, optical parametric oscillation and electro-optic modulation applications. DKDP has similar physical and chemical properties but are widely used in high-power laser systems due to its better environmental stability and moisture resistance.
